The real deal on Genetically Modified Ingredients

Wondering what they’re all about? Genetically modified (GM) crops have been widely grown in the United States for the past 20 years. About 70% to 80% of the foods we eat in the U.S. have ingredients made from genetically modified crops. We think these crops play an important role in sustainably feeding our growing planet.

Regulatory agencies and organizations, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, World Health Organization and National Academy of Sciences, have found that genetically modified crops are as safe and nutritious as traditional crops.

But we understand that some Gerber families are looking for additional options. Today, more than 150 Gerber® foods are made without GM ingredients. These include many of your favorite items, such as the entire Gerber® Organic product line and all Gerber® fruit and vegetable baby food purees.
